I love the idea of a painting made just for your space.

Commissions are one of my favourite parts of what I do, because I get to work closely with you to figure out exactly what feels right: the size that suits your wall, the colours that suit your room, and something that just makes you smile every time you walk past it.

I especially love working with local Canberra businesses. There's something lovely about a small business supporting another small business, and an original piece can bring a lot of warmth and personality into a shop, studio, or office that a print never quite manages.

Every painting is made with acrylic paint and finished with multiple coats of varnish, so it's ready to live in your space for years to come. Because of the layers involved, commissions take a little longer than my ready-to-hang pieces, usually 6–8 weeks from when I start painting, to allow proper drying time between coats.

Dardinie Designs was born out of a desire to slow down from everyday life and create artwork that brings a little heart into the spaces we spend our time in. Every piece, commissioned or otherwise, is made by hand by me, Claire.
